EDIT!!!!
The original post starts below, however I have to add an edit, because I was just sent home early due to stupid people at the mall. SO it is what? Two days after the day that every one is suppose to show love and kindness to strangers, right? Well at Patrick Henry Mall there was, for lack of a better term, a riot. From what I understand the entire mall was closed down due to fighting and guns being drawn Dec. 27 at around 7 pm. No one was shot, that I heard, but a kiosk worker was trampled, his lip bloodied and a stupid guy was tackled near center court by police for having a fire arm. There was commotion for about an hour before that due to stupid teenagers running around like two year olds hopped up on coke and pcp, through out the mall, then mall officials closed it down, cops came out of the wood work, and well yeah.
ALL BECAUSE OF STUPID PEOPLE. I must thank the wonderful police for locking the place down so fast, I felt safe with them there, but they shouldn't have to have been called out there. Seriously, WTF? Because of the stupidity of teenagers and ignorant adults a lot of businesses lost money and a lot workers got sent home early, cutting their pay down. If only people would think about other people instead of themselves and their homies for more than 30 seconds, maybe the world would be a better place.
But I guess, "Wish in one hand...."
My
first Christmas, that really wasn't a Christmas.
Yes,
I got a lot of gifts from my wonderful friends and family. But not a
one on December 25. We didn't do dinner, we didn't even try, I
actually slept until 3 PM Christmas day, and you know what? It felt
really really really! good. I mean really good.
But
the best was the night after, after I got my other half his final
gift and we curled up in bed, me in my new fuzzy pjs and my ps vita
and him with his 3ds playing games like 8 year olds. It was the most
AWESOME geeky night EVAH! I think THAT should be what Christmas
should be about.
I
found myself actually very, very angry all 'holiday' season.
And it
wasn't the holiday that did it. It was the droves of rude, stupid
people. Yes, I am calling people stupid. I am not being mean, or
derogatory, I am calling it as I see it. Consumerism has taken over
our pride as a people, and by that I mean as the human race. We are
all about putting ourselves into an early grave from stress of
putting ourselves into debt, buying crap we don't need and paying too
much for it, because we don't stand up to the corporations and call
them out about their over inflated prices and low pay wages to those
workers whom make their products. We don't stand up for our pay or
our well being when it comes to the things we buy on a daily basis.
We, as a nation, are too damned fat and scared to do anything about
it.
Or
fat and happy, because we have become complacent. Which, in my
opinion, complacency breeds stupidity.
Isn't
it fun when circular logic actually makes sense?
I
will close this very late blog out with saying:
WE
SURVIVED. Yup. The world ended, remember, yet we survived. Or did
we?
